Meet Terra Souza

Terra Souza, R.T. (T) is a dedicated radiation therapist originally from Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Behavior from the University of Florida, where she specialized in Community Health Promotion and Disability Studies. She later earned her Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy from John Patrick University in Indiana.When not at work, Terra enjoys puzzles, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family and pets. Her favorite animal is the humpback whale.

Meet Bruce W. Kornfeld

Dr. Bruce Kornfeld completed his undergraduate at the University of Colorado at Boulder, in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude and earned his medical degree from University of Colorado Health Science Center School of Medicine, M.D. with Honors. Dr. Kornfeld completed his Transitional Residency at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Aurora, CO where he also completed his Dermatology Residency under J. Ramsey Mellette Jr., M.D.

Dr. Kornfeld has published in multiple medical journals including Experimental Cell Research, Journal of Cellular Physiology, International Journal of Dermatology, Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, Cutis, International Journal of Dermatology. Dr. Kornfeld is a Veteran having served as a Physician in the Army obtaining the rank of Major. Dr. Kornfeld was deployed to 93rd Evacuation Hospital Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Saudi Arabia, December 1990 - May 1991 where he served as Chief of Medicine and Dermatology. Dr. Kornfeld was Honorably Discharged from the Army in 1992 and moved to Fort Collins, CO where he was in private medical practice through 2021 where Mohs surgery was a central part of his practice. Dr. Kornfeld has over 35 years of clinical dermatology and dermatologic surgery experience that includes a range of common skin conditions, complex skin cancers and surgical procedures.

In his free time, Dr. Kornfeld loves watching football and spending time with his friends and family which includes his 3 children, 3 grandchildren and his Labrador, Shelby.

Meet Dr. Sam Ecker

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Sam Ecker relocated with his family to Steamboat Springs, where he attended high school and later served as a firefighter for the city. Dr. Ecker completed his undergraduate education at the University of Colorado at Boulder and earned his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He completed his medical internship and dermatology residency in Miami, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Ecker has received numerous awards throughout his training and has authored several scientific papers and book chapters.

As a resident, Dr. Ecker received training from many world-renowned dermatologists specializing in general dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermatopathology, dermoscopy, cutaneous surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Ecker has extensive experience treating patients with rare, complex, and challenging dermatologic conditions as well as more common skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer.

In his free time, Dr. Ecker enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, hiking, fishing, whitewater rafting, and playing guitar. His wife, Rachel, is a pediatric dentist and works in the Fort Collins area. They have two young children, Abigail and Thomas.

Meet Sarah Kusterer​

Sarah Kusterer is a highly experienced radiation therapist with over 20 years in medical imaging and oncology. She joins Sage Dermatology with a strong background in radiation therapy, radiologic technology, and healthcare leadership, bringing expertise in patient-centered treatment and advanced imaging techniques.

Before joining Sage Dermatology, Sarah served as the Radiology Director at Lutheran Medical Center, overseeing imaging services for a Level II trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center. She managed multiple imaging modalities, collaborated with physicians to enhance diagnostic accuracy, and implemented process improvements to optimize patient care. Her leadership extended to managing teams, equipment procurement, and ensuring regulatory compliance with industry standards.

Sarah’s career also includes leadership roles at Panorama Orthopedics and Spine Centers and Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, where she supervised radiation therapy departments, trained staff, and worked directly with cancer patients undergoing radiation treatment. She has also traveled across the U.S. and Canada as an oncology equipment trainer, educating healthcare professionals on the latest advancements in radiation therapy.

She holds an ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy and Radiologic Technology and earned her degree in Radiation Therapy from Weber State University. Additionally, she is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified, reflecting her commitment to efficiency and quality improvement in healthcare.

At Sage Dermatology, Sarah applies her extensive experience in radiation therapy to provide high-quality, compassionate care. Her dedication to patient well-being and expertise in advanced treatment technologies make her an invaluable part of the team. Born and raised in Colorado, Sarah enjoys whitewater rafting, camping, snowmobiling, traveling, and attending concerts.

Meet Deanna Dietrich​

Deanna is a board-certified Physician Assistant originally from Fort Myers, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Boston University. She then received her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies with Honors from Nova Southeastern University. Deanna has a tremendous passion for dermatology, both medical and cosmetic, and is deeply committed to supporting the overall health and well-being of her patients. Prior to dedicating her career to dermatology, she also practiced in both emergency medicine and psychiatric medicine. 

Deanna moved to the beautiful Northern Colorado area in January of 2024 and loves being able to call Colorado home. Outside of work, Deanna loves spending time with her husband and her four rescue dogs. She also loves working out, going to concerts, and spending time with her amazing family and friends.

Meet Janina Korba​

Janina is a dedicated physician assistant originally from Boulder, Colorado. She holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she graduated magna cum laude. She spent four years working as an emergency room technician prior to earning both her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and her Doctor of Medical Science degrees from Pacific University in Oregon. She originally practiced in general, trauma, and acute care surgery before devoting her full-time career to dermatology.

When not at work, Janina enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Meet Jordan Fabrikant

Recently moving from San Diego, CA, Dr. Fabrikant relocated to join Sage Dermatology. Dr. Fabrikant completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Dr. Fabrikant completed his dermatology residency with Dr. Ecker at Larkin Hospital in Miami, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident, and went on to complete the Mohs Fellowship under the direction of Dr. Daniel Rivlin.

Dr. Fabrikant has extensive experience treating aggressive skin cancers and has performed over 10,000 Mohs procedures. He is also expertly trained to treat patients with complex and challenging dermatologic conditions as well as more common skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis.

In his free time, Dr. Fabrikant enjoys surfing, skiing, hiking, white water rafting, and traveling.

Meet Courtney Fairchild

Courtney is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where she served as an Arabic linguist for 4 years and was stationed in Augusta, Georgia. After leaving the Air Force, she went on to complete her undergraduate studies in Biology at Augusta University and later earned her masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from South College in Knoxville, TN. Courtney has extensive experience as a Dermatology Physician Assistant and previously worked in Evans, GA and Fort Collins, CO.

In her free time, Courtney enjoys hiking with her two miniature poodles, exploring the mountains of Southern Wyoming and Northern Colorado.

Meet Jeff Kamenski

Jeff grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado, and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He later earned his master's in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida. Jeff started his career in primary care in Gainesville. He has spent the last decade developing expertise in emergency medicine. Initially, he worked at Anschutz University Hospital in Aurora, followed by seven years in Northern Colorado, including at Poudre Valley Hospital and the Medical Center of the Rockies. Currently, Jeff is completing his Society of Dermatology Physician Assistant Diplomate fellowship.

Jeff is an avid outdoorsman who pursues fly fishing, backcountry skiing, and hiking with his Labrador. He also enjoys reading, golfing, and international travel with his wife, Jessica.
